The Association for Responsible Technologies (A.R.T) is a Geneva-based, independent non-profit building sovereign, open-source digital infrastructure to protect crisis-affected people and power trusted humanitarian action.
Comprised by former ICRC staff, we combine field-tested technology and Swiss tradition, with the highest standards of data protection, humanitarian integrity and responsible innovation.
At the core of our work and philosophy is RedSafe, a live platform already deployed across 18 countries developed by the ICRC between 2020 and 2025. With over 1 million downloads and 150,000 active users, RedSafe enables crisis-affected people to access trusted humanitarian information and services safely.

Who we are
Our team brings 70+ years of combined experience across digital transformation, telecommunication, humanitarian diplomacy and field operations in 50+ countries.
Nicolas Vout
Over the past years, Nicolas led the digital transformation of the ICRC. Prior to that, he held managerial positions in finance, human resources and administration.
Philippe Stoll
Philippe has more than 25 years of experience in techplomacy, humanitarian and crisis communication as well as in journalism. He has held several positions in Asia, Middle East and Africa with the ICRC.
Clara Palau
Clara is a Telecommunication Engineer who started her career in the private sector. For the last 10 years, she occupied innovation positions @ ICRC and UNICEF.
Eduardo Ubierna
Eduardo has more than 25 years of field experience with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. He held various managerial positions in Africa and Latin America.
Jacobo Quintanilla
Jacobo has 20+ years of experience in information integrity and humanitarian action. He has advised the ICRC, UN, and global NGOs on disinformation and digital threats in conflict settings across 20+ countries.
